INTRO TO OLD TESTAMENT:

Christian ministry is rooted in the knowledge of the Christian Scriptures. This formation is essential background to any application of biblical basis of the faith to the practice of every type of Christian ministry. The course introduces students to the formation, content and theology of the Old Testament, with the view to equipping them for various ministries

Lecturer: Pastor Marc Etive.

Mondays: 5pm -7pm.

 

INTRO to COMMUNICATIONS:

We are all concerned with refining our communication skills: workplace, family, school, church… This course is designed for individuals who desire to acquire solid knowledge of how communication works, understand the concepts and theories, apply critical thinking and problem-solving for ethical decision-making.

Lecturer: Mrs Lovena Jemima Sydney.

Saturdays: 1pm – 3pm.

 

ART of PREACHING:

This course is designed to introduce students to the nature and purpose of preaching within the Christian church and to help them acquire the skills necessary to evaluate good preaching, to create and deliver good sermons, prepare a sermon using good exegetical techniques, with a clear focus and function statement, and employing an appropriate form.

Lecturer: Rev. Dr Rodney Curpanen.

Saturdays: 3.15pm - 5.00pm

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
1. School Certificate or Equivalent - or
2. Mature students with life skills and life experience will be considered by the Academic Board - or
3. Students recommended by their Church body
4. Cost per subject: Rs 3,600. Whole Certificate: Rs 32,000 (instalments possible, we will assist you with facilities of payment)

Some useful information

• Medium of instruction: French, Kreol Morisien & English

• AIU, the African International University is the institution to certify your studies. It accepts only English language for exam papers.

• Each subject is 15 sessions of 3 hours – 2 hrs in-class session and 1 hr your personal research. Total of 45 hours

• Subject to changes based on AIU requirements, especially in reference to Diploma in Theology, ETC will start with the certificate made up of 9 subjects, with a few additional workshops on Research methods and study skills (free for full-time students.)

 

Persons interested in one or two courses can register as auditing students.
